The headlights can be swapped by themselves, other than the adapter to allow the use of 9005 bulbs for low beam on the Denali (Yukon uses 9006 lows, and will require said adapter to connect to the Denali headlight plug)...but the parking lights and grill will require the Denali bumper, due to the fact that the bottom edge of the Denali grill is even...whereas the bottom center part of the Yukon grill "dips" to match the indentation of the upper center part of the Yukon bumper. Look at the upper center part of the front bumper on both vehicles and you'll see what I mean.

If you go to www.jpcustoms.com they have conversion kits. Also good luck finding an actual Denali grille they are few and far between. Also it can be costly. Denalis are expensive because they are expensive to make.

Actually Denali grilles are easy to obtain. My dealer sells them for anyone who wants to upgrade. They also sell different versions of the grille blacked out lettering or just plane chrome lettering w/o the red GMC. And Denalis are basically the same as the Yukon but with a few extras. AWD is the major upgrade otherwise everything else is cosmetic.

Re: Re: Re: yukon to denali conversion/help

I did the whole front end Denali conversion and got all the parts from JPCustoms. Jason is great and I also upgraded my radios to factory Nav units from Jason as well.

As for the conversion, I regret it now. What I should have done is replaced only the headlights with the Denali projector lights and got a nice chrome mesh grille (NOT Putco Punch).

Reason? - I saw a Yukon with that combination and man did it look look. It also looked very "custom." My car just looks like another Denali from the front...which is very nice but hell, I spent a ton and it doesn't look "custom."

I have the "Putco Punch Grill". The quality is good but the looks are not...Where have you seen a better grill? I am in the market to change it, but have not been able to find one that looks closer. (P.S. I also had the Putco Speed Grill)

Surprisingly the grille was from Ebay (according to the owner of the Yukon). It was very nice, I'll see if I can find it.

I find that the 6.0 is most significant option! My 5.3 just doesn't cut it when I'm hauling 9 passengers and luggage up to the cabin. Wish I had enough disposable income for a magnacharger!
