I just recently had a strut put on the front passenger's side of my 1995 Eclipse. It was making this awful screeching sound & of course, when pushed up & down, it made the noise. But it's still doing it, even though it has a new strut. When driving & going straight, you hear nothing. If the wheel is turned the least little bit, it makes this loud screeching noise that can be heard outisde of the car easily. My boyfriend felt behind the wheel, as I turned it from side to side, & said it felt like some kind of little boot was busted that seemed to be on a part, at the bottom of the tie rod end. He said there are two big bolts attached to the piece. He doesn't know the name of this piece. An auto parts store even tried to look this part up in their books & couldn't find it. It's not the tie rod end itself, but a piece attached to it. So for one, I need to know if anyone knows the possible name of this piece and 2nd what could other possibilites be, that are making it make this horrid screeching sound when the wheel is turned. Any replies would be appreciated, thank you!

Re: Sounds Like It Needs A Strut, But That's Not It
My car was doing the same thing. I had to replace my CV Joint. That fixed my problem.
