Turn key motors
What all is needed extra to get the motor started, I was thinking of dropping a brand new ls1 into my camaro, (4000 plus shipping) Also how would i get the milage on my gauge to reset to the actual milage on the car?

Re: Turn key motors
you cant reset the milage of your car if you get a new engine. but what you can do is make up a sticker and put it on the frame of your door and state how many miles your car was at when you made the engine switch, so if you ever sell it the buyer will know how many miles are on the engine/tranny

Re: Turn key motors
to my knowledge it is ILLEGAL to change your odometer settings under ANY circumstance. Make a note of the mileage when you installed the engine, and base engine miles off of that. Do not change the odometer, this is a federal offence.
as far as what all is needed, is this the camaro with the 3800 and bad alternator?
