Re: 0-60 and 1/4 mile times

all those times are on MULTIPLE copycat sites like the one u found...i probably have like 3 sites bookmarked w the same times and they are ALL wrong look
hmm how does a car thats 150 pounds heavry and 10 less hp be faster?
1989 Toyota Celica All-Trac 7.5 15.6
1990 Toyota Celica All-Trac 7.5 15.7

as well as the convertables are about 100 pounds heavery then the coups..and have the EXACT same engine...hmm how are they 1/2 a second faster

1990 Toyota Celica GT-S 10.5 17.6
1991 Toyota Celica GT Conv. 9.8 17.1

those are wrong...take em off

dont mean to sound like an ass ur just the 3rd or 4rth person that posted those tiemes before from a clone site liek that

btw the orgianl site for those times was automotive perforance central

Maybe the difference in the times from what you expect reflect the difference in the drivers. The same driver didn't do all the runs.

Re: 0-60 and 1/4 mile times

no that site is just plain retarded, look at the mr2 times, it says a n/a mr2 is .1 secodns slower than a turbo mr2..... a turbo should be hittn mid 14's and a non turbo hitn high 15's

I've never seen any magazine driver pull a 14 in a 7th gen GT-S.

Quite a few of us over at newcelica.org have gone 14's bone stock, no weight reduction or anything.

Re: 0-60 and 1/4 mile times

its simply becuase they never go over redline, EVER
and most of the zz eninges power is at/past redline

the celica gets its peak 180 HP at 7200 rpm's and they usually shift at 7400

to be honest ive seen dyno slips of celcias thatwent over the 7400 redline and continued to MAKE power, the einge does have 180HP but realistically its got about 185-190 past the redline

theres no other real reason ecept for weight, and gear ratios y the cleica can hang with car(s) that have 15+ more HP

Again, 14.4 is not possible on a completely stock GT-S. If there was weight reduction done, then yes it can do 14.4 stock.

Actually 14.4 has been acheived before now that I remember. The car's interior was stripped out. I believe his name is Mike Walker. Check 00silvergts6spd at newcelica.org or Lucky_317 at everythingcelica.com.

The DC Header doesn't really do anything. Maybe 2hp. You'll get more power from porting out the stock header.
