a new engine

yeah i finally get my new transmission in my car and lo and behold i spin a rod bearing!!! YAH!!!! I've been looking all over for a cheaper engine with low miles but the best price i got was $1200. If anyone could hook me up with a site or has one themselves that would be greatly appreciated

Re: a new engine

Junkyards! I got a 92 2.2 with 90,000mi for $500, been running great for a year now. I've heard horror stories about crate engines, I'd rather have a motor that sat for five years in a junkyard than one that been "re-built".

Re: a new engine

Agree with the junkyard. www.car-part.com will give you a listing of all the engines in your area.
