1999 help with part # please

Need help with part number. I need to know the part number of a water heater mixing valve. It sits right under the air cleaner on the right fender well. It is leaking water and I want to order one off the net. Any information will be of help. Thanks Dave

part numbers

A good place to find part numbers is www.gmpartsdirect.com - you put in the year, make and model of your vehicle and select the right area (i.e. engine, emissions, body, etc.) and if will list parts and part numbers. I have found that their prices for gm parts (AC Delco) is half of the local dealers. They charge dealer cost plus shipping usually. The only catch is that a lot of parts are special order so e-mail them with your vin # to verify the part number if you are not 100% sure.

Another way is to purchase a service manual. I just purchased the set of factory service manuals for my 98 suburban for $70 off e-bay. The manuals give part numbers and show all the procedures for replacement and troubleshooting.
