Resonator Qusetion

I have a 1990 thunderbird sc with flowmaster exhausts. Except for the mufflers, the exhaust system is stock. I was wondering if it is a good idea to remove the resonator from my system. I have heard that that can make the system sound terrible but i am not sure.

Well, if you don't like how it sounds after removing the resonator you could always re-install it.
If you have alot miles on the catalytic converters, that will affect the sound also.
Personally, I would ditch the Blowmasters and get either Magnaflow or Borla Turbo XL mufflers.

Re: Resonator Qusetion

I like borla. I don't have my resonator and I love it! But I don't have mufflers so that is a different scenario.
