Intake 2000 SL1
every website i look at for a AEM intake for my 2000 SL1 automatic engine they all say M/T only, and im guessing that means manual transmission. would it still fit in my auto engine? i included the link for the intake i was looking at, could comeone tell me if it would still work?
thanks! http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/str.../aem22630.html |

Re: Intake 2000 SL1
It does mean manual transmission, but I don't know what causes the necessity. they have one listed here on their parts page that does not specify MT or AT
http://www.aempower.com/product_list_app.asp If no one else knows, I would simply call them and ask what the deal is. # from their contact page Phone: (310) 484-2322

Re: Intake 2000 SL1
the reason CAIs have trouble fitting the auto trans is that the tranny filter is in the way. the manual trans does not have a external filter and has room to spare. however, a short ram intake should fit just fine.(short ram keep the filter in the OEM location, CAI moves it to the bumper.
