Quattroporte to get Ferrari V-12!
"Maserati is going ahead with plans to add a new 5.7-liter V12-powered Quattroporte to its lineup. The plush new Maserati flagship will get power from a version of parent company Ferrari’s V12."

I love the quattroporte. I think they are sexier than the a8 and 7 series but no one else thinks so.

 I like the A8L. But the Quattroporte is much rarer.

The only thing is the F1 tranny. I think its stupid. Why dont they have manuals? That would be cool.

It doesn't have a manual because it is a full size luxury performance sedan. It may have the F1 paddle-shifters (optional, if available), but no "manual" gate shifter. The rest of the world prefers the F1-stlye paddles, whereas America still likes the traditional manual. But the auto tranny is what most customers would get.

We just recently purchesed a maserati quattroporte and the only thing is the long....gasping....pauses between gears while in automatic... it gets quite annoying...but the paddle shift mode is quite fun

The new Quattroporte debuted at the 2003 Frankfurt Motorshow. Two new versions of the Quattroporte will appear next month at the Frankfurt Motorshow.
Quattroporte Executive GT Distinguished by a blend of elegant eye-catching colours and refined wood veneer finishes for the interior, the Executive GT includes the following accessories: Chrome mesh grille, side chrome grille, external identification plate, 9-spoke 19 " ball-polished wheel rims, wood and leather steering wheel, roof section in Alcantara and a series of features dedicated to providing maximum comfort levels for passengers (among them comfort pack for the rear seats and stowable rear table in wood or titanium). Further personalisation options are available. Quattroporte Sport GT The aggressive look is captured in the carbon fibre interior, 20 " wheel rims with new design, external identification plate, sporty steering wheel and handbrake grip, aluminium pedal covers. Among the dynamic features, the latest gearbox software for a 35 % faster shifting, newly designed exhaust system delivering an even more sporty sound and specific Skyhook software for electronic suspensions and shock absorbers.
