lost a friend today

so i payed a few hundred for an 89 dx that my buddie couldnt get started, well come to find out, it had been broken into and the dizzy ripped off, so i got it running and noticed the dizzy was bad, so i went to j yard and got a replacement for 25 dollers, and went to the friends and his mom asked about the car, and i told her good, but it needed a dizzy because when the one in there was stolen it got damaged, and she smiled and looked at me and said yeah i know, then had the audacity to ask for it back! i told her it would cost her 150 dollers, half of what i payed for the car, for lack of power the last couple months and me scratchen my head, and the car now not starting right and me not knowing why and her not knowing either, she told me it wasnt fair she needed it as evidence, and i told her that it wasnt fair she sold me shit and knew it, only to get rid of the car, if she wanted the evidence, she would have to pay up or it is gone to the dump, she really doesnt like the kid that stole it so i think ill make the 150 back, but i lost one of my best friends in the process, but then again, to pull that one, was it really a good friend? sorry just had to let it out

Re: lost a friend today

Damn what a bitch. Did you tell her what you paid for at the junkyard for the dist? If you didn't, you should go to some place like pep boys or autozone and have them price one up for you, and then charge her that price and tell her you had to buy a new one from them. If you area is anything like mine, there are only a few junk yards around and it's hard to find the parts you're looking for. So you're lucky you found it for $25, the lowest I've seen it for was $110 online (and upwards of $250). Damn people are sketchy, but I guess that's the main reason I'm so damn anti-social.

Re: lost a friend today

well there is one j yard, 3 min from my house, and 4 more within 5 min, and another 6 or so within a half hours drive, they are all over here, most of them are special as to they wont take anything older then or new then type deals, and i did get a deal on the dizzy, my g pa is great friends with the guy who runs the one that i alwse go to first, they only have 3 or so 4g's but they are pretty complete, im looken to do a total mpfi for uner 150 bucks, as long as i pull, and i figgure i have to put it on so why not take it off too, im waiten for them to get an integ, ive already told the guy that runs it to call my g pa when he gets one and ill give him 300 for the complete moter and he seamed happy with it... and yes i told her i only payed 25 for it, but i dont care, if she wants it, she knows my price, and thats why she wants it because they are a verry expenceive item, if somethings ripped off, for the price of replacement, you go to dealer first, and she said that was over 200, so i figgure for 150 bucks back to me, she basicly sold me a lemon *agains the law here in michigan, because she knew the defects and denyed them* and now im going to stick it to her, she will hold off on wanting it and ill wind up gettin 200 or so for it... she wants to play games ill play hard ball

Yeah the law is like that here too. If you buy a car and the person doesn't tell you there is something wrong with it you have 30 days to get your money back.

Did that with my first Civic. We went and looked at it and it looked good. Started it up (my dad and mom drove it cause that was my first car, so I had to learn stick too), it smoked quite a bit, but he said it was because it had been sitting for a couple of months and hadn't been started.

Well we give him the money. Well on the way home it feels a little wierd to my dad. Call the guy up, he says he doesn't know what was wrong with it. Tells us to take it to the shop he goes too. So we take it to "his" shop and they tell us that car is a big POS and he has it in there constantly with something else wrong. And the motor was about blown and they had just told him that a week ago when it was in there. So we got our money back.

OK, sorry for hyjacking your thread. SO yeah people like that suck.
