Here's an odd one. When I slowly press down on the gas pedal, I notice the RPM's dip down real quick before actually going up the way it should be. Sometimes this quick dip in RPM's makes the car stall. Doesn't happen all the time, and you have to press down slowly with just the right amount of pressure for it to happen. If I floor it the problem does not happen, only when I slowly press on the gas pedal. Any thoughts? Thanks.

and let a pro figure it out with his own diagnosis. This is very easy to troubleshoot for a mechanic with proper equipment and training. |

What's a "TPS"? I had this problem (with the rpm's) happen for the first time today, and it was scary!! It happened once when I was accelerating to get on the highway, and once when I stopped at a red light and tried to go again. My car is a 1996. |
