95 grand am starter

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the starter is located on my 95 grand am gt. It's the four-cylinder version. The started needs to be replaced asap. Thanks alot guys!!!

It should be located on the front of the engine just behind the radiator fan. If you lay under the front of the car where you can see the radiator look straight up and it should be right there.

Couple quick notes re the starter~~~~~~~~~

Note the # and location of any shims at each mounting bolt!!!!!

You may have to pull the oil filter for access to the bolts or to clear the starter body. Moast likely, pulling the oil filter is necessary.

you may have to remove the air inlet duct attached to the throttle body.

You may have to pull the fan assembly.

You may have three mount-bolts to pull out.

One bolt may have to be pulled from the other side [not the starter body side] of the starter mount-to flywheelflange.

Bolt torque is 32 ft.lbs.
