200 Z24

Just bought 2000, Z24 W/twin cam engine (2.4), any pro or cons about this motor? 53,000 mi on it. It was a lease vehicle. Fully loaded and very clean,

its a strong solid engine, the original engine was designed to be a racing engine. The bottom end is nearly bullet proof. One guy got it up to 1200 HP. This as long as you take proper care of it. Some people have had problems with the water pump going, and if you let the oil get low (which it shouldnt as long as its take care of) people have been spinning bearings.

Yea spinning bearings is the biggest thing with these motors just keep enough 5w30 oil in that thing and you will be ok.
