2 near accidents in one night ~ both with police!

So I actually took Jekyl (91 non-turbo MR2) out of the garage on Tuesday night.

After work I had an hour+ ride up to see my mechanic. As I am leaving the highway in my area, I come off an exit ramp onto a 4 lane road. Let's just say I was "enjoying" the exit ramp and as I got to the merge (only at 60 mph or so ~tight exit) and I look to see if I am okay to merge and .... AAAH.... cop right there on the road. Oops.

He jumps into the left lane to let me merge and gets beside me.
He just shoots me a look and I look innocent back at him
He signals an takes the next left *whew*

... 3 hours later ...

I am on my way home on a different highway, chugging along at 60 mph (in a 45). It's dark now, so the lights are on. There are about a dozen cars behind me, but they are all a good 10+ car length back. So I am cruising solo.

Out of this exit a car comes flying ... doing about 60 mph. Our speeds & location were matched and if I did not move we were surely going to crunch ... so into the left I go. I shoot a dirty look at the driver next to me and it's cop! A PA Trooper no less.

He quickly slowed. I think he released that he (a) was speeding (b) almost hit me and (c) had a dozen witnesses behind us
So I scoot ahead and signal over. I get in front of him.
He jumps out to the left and passes me.

Cop #1 would have eaten you alive. My friend's girlfriend rearended a cop and with the way it works in this town it's luck she still has a license. Cop #2 would have felt like an idiot and since it's obvious he wasn't headed anywhere in an emergency, he would have also gotten chewed by his superior for what would seem like days.

Sometimes i wonder bout cops. A week after i got my camaro i was going down a little road didn't even realize there was a cop behind me. Stop at a stop sign and i hear tires lock and see the cop flick his car into the other lane to aviod rear ending me. So makes u wonder somtiem doesn't it.

That's pretty funny now that its over and nothing bad came of it! Imagine that. You nearly merge into a cop, and then a cop nearly merges into you, all in the same day!

It would be pretty funny if it was the same cop.
