Scale Race Cars mesh

Hi there guys,

got a question about this SRC mesh. Is this stuff okay for a 1/24? The site says 1/43 or 1/20... But if it's useable on a 1/43 it is really really fine... Does somebody have a reference pic on how it looks on a car. I cannot imagine how it actually looks only by de Xacto blade and tow hook...

Here's the link:

Thanks guys

It looks to be the same size as the plastic mesh that you get with some of the kits like the Aoshima Nismo Skyline, and the Revell Honda Civic. I just held my hobby knife blade up to it and it looked the same to me. Hope that helps...

Here is a picture of both styles of mesh on a 1/24 Mitsubishi Pajero.

You can see that is is very realistic compared to wire netting or the stuff Tamiya provides in their kits. Also compared to other photo etched mesh there is about 6 times as much on a sheet making it less per square inch than other manufacturers.

Each switch is about three times as long as what shows when installed. I placed a long stem on the back to allow the switch to be placed into a pre drilled hole filled with a small drop of super glue applied from the back. Here is a picture installed. Also these are really small and a pain to work with but they do look nice if you have the patience.
