Question "01 Rodeo Codes - What to do?

Vehicle Info:
'01 Rodeo / V6 / 3.2L /110k Miles

My mechanic put my '01 Rodeo on the computer and it came back with the following codes:

P0401 and P0405 - EGR Malfunction
I've cleaned it out many times to no avail, is it time to buy a new one?

P01299 and P1125 - Air Flow Meter Malfunction
Could this be due to a bad Manifold Gasket?

P0515 - Idle Speed Control Malfunction
I have no idea on this one...

The symptoms are that the car stalls and sputters and idles rough.

It shuts down alot when making right turns and when you hit a bump in the road.

Any Ideas on what to do?

Clean the EGR. Replace the IMG.

If you are the first owner then your IMG is under warranty.

see the FAQ's for more info.

I would definately look at the IMG's. When mine went bad it did all sorts of crazy things. Same as yours.

Re: "01 Rodeo Codes - What to do?

My 2001 Isuzu Rodeo V6, 51,000 miles had codes P1125, P1295, P1515.

It stalled several times at stoplights and then went into the "limp mode" with check engine light and reduced power lights illuminated - just barely moving, no power at all. After reading posts on this forum and others I decided that it needed a new TPS - throttle position sensor.

I bought a new one from a Mazda dealer (box looked like it had been returned, part was a little dirty!). Installed in about 10 minutes, just six phillips screws. Reset codes, no more problems noted. If problem returns, I'll make another post.
