Help?!
remember the noise i was hearin last week that we pinpointed as probably the cat converter? well after not hearing it for a few days, i suspected it to be simply a heat shield. well today, driving home on the expressway, i accelerated to 70 and then with RPMs at about 3,000 it would not speed up any more. it had trouble accelerating to this point, and shuddered a couple times during my 20 minute [give or take] drive home. is this the cat clogging and making me lose power?
also, shortly before that i stopped at autozone to have them remove my service engine soon light and it was code 0420. he said add some fuel injector cleaner and maybe the sensor was goin bad. do these two things have anything in common, or is the first part simply a catylac convertor replacement. help! thanks |

Re: Help?!
I think you know what the problem is, go get it replaced with a universal high flow cat from Magnaflow or Catco.

Re: Help?!
Well let's see, you have a drivability problem that could be caused by the cat, a check engine light, and a cat code. I think it all adds up.
