99 cougar heater issue....

My heat \ac blower motor will only work on #4 speed setting 1,2,3 dont work at all. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is it just the speed control switch that has gone bad or something else?

change the resistor under the passenger side dash look for a wire going to the duct pull it off and you wiww see the screws holding it on it costs about 12 bucks at the delear
