93 Explorer Remote Entry

How do you tell if there is a remote entry on this model? Does anyone know where the box is located for it. I have electric locks, no alarm. Were these installed as standard equip on this year with electric locks or was it an option?

I have tried to cycle between off and run 10 times and also cycled between lock and assoc. 5 and 10 times to see if the doors lock. I have also seen reference to a switch under te dash.

Before going out and purchasing a fob, I would like to discover if I indeed have this.

Thanks in advance.

Re: 93 Explorer Remote Entry

Open back hatch, left side where jack is located. Look inside of that cubby hole toward the front of the exploder. If you see a gray box (can also be black or white) with a load of wires running to it, you gots it. If you wanna double check, the box will have a sticker on it (kinda hard to read) and it will say Keyless Entry Module or something along those lines.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
