Need help bad!!!

I recently lost the keys to my 93 pontiac sunbird and didnt have a spare. Im in the process of changing the ignition lock cylinder, but have no clue as to how it comes out. Will i have to drill, or is there a hole that something can be put in to release it?

I heard its harder to do without a key. I would REALLY appreciate anyones help.

hey its very easy to change but hey if you havent started on it yet just go to your loacal gm dealer take you vin # they can make you a key but if not this is how the switch comes out ok ive just done this just ok what you do is get a steering wheel puller pull the wheel then you will have to remove like 3 star screws that holds your turn single thing in place behind that to the right there will be a big start scerw and a phillps head take them out and the switch should pull right out the key doesnt matter ok but the best thing to do is go to your local autozone parts store buy a book on your sunbird which i done it shows you how to remove the switch its very easy you should buy a book anyways there very helpfull trust me on that there a life saver if you have any troble im here if you dont have a wheel puller autozone will loan you one so no problem there but you have to have the puller dont try and beat the wheel off because it will mess it up the puller will pull it right off ok well see you later

I have already started on it. I used a pully puller to pull the steering wheel. From there I have no clue on how to get the black metal cover off to access the three blinker screws that u mention. I found a site that shows it in detail for a pontiac fiero....looks the same to me. Heres the link http://web.ask.com/redir?u=http%3a%2...nip&Complete=1
I need to know how to get that lock plate off without a compressor. Thanks a lot for all the help.
