Drifter.

Me and my friend Tommy might go in on a drift car together. Its an 83 corolla coupe. Hes driven it and he said all you gotta do is drop it in 1st at like 20-25 and itll swing sideways with no problem. The car is $100 and needs a lil work bc it was rearended. But for $100 we might just get the car and do a lil bit of performance mods and drift it in a competition at Nopi or something just for fun. Its got a 1.6 sohc carbed engine lol.

Tommy said hes already found Weber carbs, a header, and coilovers for it lol.

Re: Drifter.

never go into a venture like that with a friend...having investments with friends and family is a

unless ur gonna make a business out of it...then i wouldn't recommend it...and if u do, you might want to have some kind of contract written up and notarized (sp)

Yeah don't go into business with friends...

For $100... I say what the hell? But don't throw it into first at those speeds. Put in second at 50mph, pop the clutch, tap the brakes and slap the gas with your heel while turning the steering wheel... fun stuff...

Re: Drifter.

were not gonna spend much on the car, itll be just for fun if we do it. The most were gonna do is carbs, header, exhaust, intake, rollcage, seats with race harness, and wheels and tires. I dont plan on spending too much on this car.

Re: Drifter.

I have a GT-S equipped with the optional LSD from the factory. It's an old car man, trust me on this one as many AE86 owner's will tell you, THINGS BREAK not only from abuse but also because of it's age!!

Good point! I guess you can just have some sideways action until it gives up and than donate it. Heck, I think you get a tax write off for that. What the heck, GO FOR IT!!
