1991 Burban back up lights

Back up lights just stopped working, both at the same time, all fuses good. Where is the sensor that tells the lights to come on?

As in in the Transmission, on the transmission, left side, right side, top?

Re: 1991 Burban back up lights

Do they come on with the gear selector toward park or neutral? Mine did that a while back, now they've stopped working all together. If it does that, it's almost certainly the switch.

The switch is by the shift linkage.
