Trunk light

2001 Grand Am SE

Ever since I got my car over a year ago; there has been no light in the trunk . Just this last week i poped my trunk and saw a faint light flicker on and then off. I found the little bugger, replaced the bulb, and the little bugger still didn't work. i belive there might b a short somewhere. Any suggestions?

Re: Trunk light

The switch might have dirty contacts. It's located as part of the trunk lid latch (located on the trunk lid). If you look at it you should be able to see the switch. Spray it with WD40 and work it a few times, that should make it work like new again.
