Unhappy so so sad

today i got the bad news. i have to give up my 1993 chevy 3500 for a little honda. i dont know how a guy could give up his chevy for the damn civic. granted i am going to get better gas mileage but its just not fair. i dont think i will ever be the same.

nope its not a girl she love the truck. and hell no on the bike idea. its that damn school. got to comute and this $2+ sucks. that 454 drains that take realy quick. 8mpg is real scary. 80 buck to fill up the take is even scaryer. all my money will go to gas and my girl wont like that at all. then it will be realy bad... no chevy and no girl.

Re: so so sad

Get an S-10 then. They're almost trucks, and I get 26 MPG in mine (4.3L). Better than a damn honda.

Re: so so sad

Honda?!?! I rather drive my damn John Deere. Wow man that really sucks, But why are you going over to honda? Why not just sell the truck and buy a nice little S-10 or a Ranger (rather drive Ford then honda). Or a older car or something that isnt a honda. I know gas prices are pretty bad right now but there are other options.

Re: so so sad

i would pound my balls flat with a four pound sledge hammer than give up my GMC's. if milage is that important buy one with the 350, you'll get double the mileage, drop the tailgate, put passenger tires on it and run them at 50 psi. anything but a honda. god dam man the only thing they are good for is a bike and hell even then they don't get that good mileage. don't give up the truck no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: so so sad

well chevyboy, i drove and idolized chevy's all my life, and before i go any further let me say 1 thing " there ain't nothin like an ole chev truck" but a couple of years ago, after feeling the pinch of fueling an everyday driven 350, i parked the truck and bought a honda accord ($400). a real beater, smoked, popped out of 5th gear all the time, even had some duct tape around the windshield ( which leaked like a siv) and gas cover, sucked for power and was hard on gas but man i could not kill that car. i put around 60k on it in under a year and run it hard every day. L8r i gave it to a friend who drove 6 more months before the alternator quit on him at a train station. when he left it there, some kids beat the windows out of it an pushed it into a ditch. he then gave it to another friend for the towing charge who swapped the engine into his wife's accord. it still runs yet. it had 360k on it when i bought it. also my girlfriend's car is an integra and its got almost 370k on it; so i can't knock a honda.
