Re: oil light

Oil sending unit may be going out. The oil "idiot" light measures pressure drop which is a result of low oil. If you are getting the light, make sure your oil level is good.

Yep, could be a problem with the pressure switch/connection. If not that, then you may have oil aeration which could cause the light to flicker.

Re: oil light

My wifes oil light is on and I have tried several different things. Drive it till it breaks then buy a good one. Sorry to be mean or rude, but thats my thinking now.
oh!!
lucas may help also, use it on oil changes and if it is oil pressure problem then there may be a difference. if not then an electrical problem.

Question Re: oil light

ok, lets say that areation is the problem.........can I assume that an oil change will solve this?

last time the oil got changed (at a fast lube place) they put in "high mileage" oil. has anyone heard of this causing the problem?
I dont try to be dumb, it just happens naturally

again Thank you
