fabbing your own windows
Hey everyone, been doing alot lately and one night i was putting the windshield in my 55 stepside pickup, and noticed that it was too small (height wise) i had it glued in a few times but it kept popping out. a friend told me about some clear plastic that was like the paper for over head projectors and was wondering if i swiped a sheet or 2 from my science teacher if it would work to make the windows. also if possible, please include a good How-To if there is one im sorry for asking this, if there isnt please help me. thanks for reading this and hopefully helping me.

Re: fabbing your own windows
Hey,
Try to search in the how-tos. I dunno about the acetate from school, if it's thick enough. But, the stuff on boxes seems pretty thick. Like, the maisto diecast boxes for example. Ok, trace the model glass onto the acetate. You said it needs to be a little bigger. So cut it out bigger. Bend to fit the window shape. Glue. Frank X. |
