Re: D16 mine me swap

No the d-series blocks are only compatible with d-series heads, and the same with the b-series. And no there's no way to make a sohc into a dohc. I'd say either do the mini-me, swap in a d16z6 complete swap, or do an LS swap (b18b). The LS would be good because it's usually a little cheaper than the b16a, has more torque than the other b-series (except the Integra Type R engine), and has lower compression to it so it's boost friendly. And psi doesn't mean anything really. With different size turbos; 13 psi could be a lot or could be nothing. Smaller turbos spool quicker but max out sooner, where bigger turbos take more time to spool fully and can provide more hp. I'm assuming like the rest of us, you're trying to go the cheapest (price wise) possible. But if you're looking for some real power, it's going to cost you a serious chunk of change. Just don't rush to a decision, because chances are you'll pick something and then find a better way of going about it.

Re: D16 mine me swap

you are right, I figured out that fast cars cost money the hard way. I boght a B18 for my hatch and the engine and all the parts needed costed me around 1,100. I used to say "I'll never espend that kind of money on my car". But I was Wrong as hell.
Get ready to espend money, but take your time when deciding wich performance parts you are buying. And decide what mode you want to go wiht.
