88 Cherokee HVAC Lights

Does the 1988 Cherokee have HVAC Lights? When I turn the lights on at night, the HVAC panel does not light up, should it? If so what kind of bulb should I use? --Thanks

yes it has one! it is behind the hvac panel on the far right hand side, it is a plug in style looks like a "tic tac mint" very small. I replaced mine with one from NAPA, I think 1.35, I had to bring the old one in. Just remove the panel off than the screws holding control panel. about a 5 minute job! good luck
