a few more months

93 civic ex coupe, 242k miles - baby's always been so good to me.

i want to get another 6-12 months out of her, cheap, but a few annoying issues:

1. driver-side auto window is very tired, especially first lowering of the day. is there some rehab i can do to service it without replacement?

2. hood pull cable is badly frayed and should be replaced. to prevent a real problem, i rigged a wire at the latch that extends outside the hood so that i don't need to use the cable. but if this should fail, i could have a real hassle. is there some way i could somehow steal a little extra cable and reconnect at the seat pull? if not, is it a huge deal to replace the cable? where could I find info?

All, thanks a ton.

Re: a few more months

for the "tired" window, try pulling the motor out and inspecting it. prolly just needs a rebuilding. if u wanted, u could prolly swap the motor w/ the PS one(not positive on that).
for the hood latch release cable, it's really nothing more than a bike brake cable. u should be able to get a cable from a bike shop and cut it to the length u need.
