OE CD player and OE amp
Looking to replace the factory radio and amp in my '01 tahoe. Still thinking about getting aftermarket equipment but my truck was just broken into so trying to locate and purchase the factory equipment would be the best option for now. My OE amp has burned out and I'm looking to replace that as well.
If anyone is looking to get rid of their OE stereo equipment let me know. Thanks. |

Re: OE CD player and OE amp
Sorry to hear about the break in, that sucks. I've kept all my factory audio, so if I ever get rid of the truck I can keep all my nice aftermarket goodies. But mines a 97, and I believe the h/u's appearances are slightly different. Might try looking on Ebay for the pieces you need, a lot of people sell their factory stuff to help finance upgrades. But as for the actual location of the amp inside the truck....I have no clue. I've heard that it sits behind the dash, but can't say for sure.

Re: OE CD player and OE amp
check ebay but i would go with an after market deck and you wouldn't need to replace the amp if it has enought power built in
