I am wondering what are the best shocks out there? My burb rides like a horse buggy and no suspension. I bought some Doetsch Tech shocks for my lowered ride and they sucked. Thats probabley why I paid only 25 bucks a piece. The decent ride lasted about 1 month then back to junk. I am going to spend some cash and gets some good one's but I asking for advice. I heard Bilstein comfort is the best out there. Does anyone know where I can get them the cheapest. I saw them at AUTOZONE for 59 a piece. Thanks and best of BURBIN!!

Re: Need Bilsteins
Hi,I have bilsteins on my burb and love it.Even w/ 10 ply tires it rides like a caddy.I also put on alot of monroe reflex at work.Tenneco the company that makes them and rancho put on a ride and drive seminar for all the local shops in the tulsa area last year.We got to drive an obstacle corse w/ speed bumps and sharp turns,6 different vehicles 3 w/ original equip three w/ monroe products 2 grand prix,2venture vans and 2 camaros. That was enough to make a believer out of me.The OE cars were all over the place especially around the corner w/ all the dipitydos.Im convinced that the reflex and sensatracs are the best performers out there. They have impact sensors and variable valve technology that senses what kind of ride you need at any given time. For normal driving and small bumps it rides softer and get firmer in extreme situations cornering dips.My boss at work got some reflex put on his 01 dodge and the biggest difference was that the front end didnt dip during stops anymore and felt like he had new brakes as well.I guess what Im saying is I believe the reflex are your best bet! However bilsteins are good too (I just dont think that they are as technologically advanced)Good Luck Happy shock shopping! PS. your ride height must be correct for the variable valve technology to work.If it senses to hi or low the shock will be in stiff mode all the time.

Re: Need Bilsteins
I've got 119K miles on my 97 K1500 Burb and replaced the original Red Delcos at 25K miles with Bilsteins. I paid $49 each and they have a lifetime warranty. Look at any car magazine and you'll probably find an add still selling them for that. The Reflexs sound good but I wonder how long they will last? Good Luck!
