I would call the dealer before you go buying any parts. I know there is a recall on the Eclipse lower ball joints and the dealer has to fix them for free. So you should check for a recall before you pay "out of pocket".

alot! it cost me $800 to replace a ball joint, sway arm, and something else insignificant on my 1996 eclipse.
