Exclamation Tubular Manifold being tested on Hyde (not for power)

At the request of Berk Technology, I will be testing one of their tubular manifolds. It arrived yesterday, see photos below.

With all that is being done to Hyde over the winter, along with the cost of tuning time with a standalone, it will not be cost-effective to do a before & after dyno of just the manifold. I wish this were possible, but it is just not feasible considering the deadlines I am under to get the car done.

What Berk Technology is interested in testing on Hyde, is their manifold's ability to resist cracking. Considering the variety of racing that Hyde will be put through; drag, hill climbs and autocross, this should be an ample test to how their welds hold up.

I'll post some more photos once the manifold is in.

Looks Very Sweet! Assuming Tuned Length? Could They Make One With Different Flanges?

Re: Tubular Manifold being tested on Hyde (not for power)

This is not the one from eBay ... but the pipes and design come from the same place.

Several companies are importing the pipes and flanges for the 3SGTE in the configuration.
The only difference between any of them is the quality of the welding and the bracing (if there is any). That is what we are testing for.

TRD, you would have to contact Berk Technology about having a different flange installed.

Re: Tubular Manifold being tested on Hyde (not for power)

Unfortunately, this manifold is NOT going to happen.

This piece was designed for use with the CT26 turbocharger, but there are way too many clearance issues with my T3/T4. My compressor housing is simply to large and it is just not going to happen.

Re: Tubular Manifold being tested on Hyde (not for power)

If you check out my last post above, this test is not going to happen. My turbo did not clear the manifold.
