Car keeps dying

Hey, need help. I have a 89 iroc lb9 305 tpi auto and it keeps dying. It only dies when you take your foot off the gas and when you come to a stop. I have a feeling it might be the speed control censor. I have to hold the brake and the gas at the same time to keep it from dying. and the service engine soon light keeps coming on. does anyone know what might be wrong?

Re: Car keeps dying

yeah, Ide havto agree with the IAC valve..

Unhook your EGR vacuum line and see if it still wants to stall.. If it doesnt that your IAC is shot..
