Talking OMG - I got called a ricer today!

Ok... headed out to pick up some oil etc for the Civic's service. On the way back I'm heading up kissing point road and see a 4G GL Civic with a rorty exhaust which pulls up at the lights. Window's roll down and I get called a ricer by the driver and his mate because of the DOHC/VTEC/PGMFI/SiR stickers on the car "No way that has VTEC" and get told I should quit with the BS

Lights go green and he takes off... 4000-8000rpm and 2 gearchanges later and I can no longer see him in my rearview

Why the hell would people call it rice? WTF is with some people?

That was my first thought. One blast on the exhaust answered my question. The difference between yours and a GLs is worlds.
