missing gas cap

hey guys, i lost my gas cap when i accidently left it at the gas station. right now my car doen't have one. what's the worse case scenerio if i don't cover up the gas lid.

you can get a gas cap for under $5 at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

You may get a check engine light with no gas cap so don't be surprised.

If you do...reset the ECU after you install the new cap.

thanks for the info guys, i went to buy a temporary gas cap at pep boys today. i'm still going to buy the oem one. here's the strange thing about it. the check engine sign already pop up even when i still have my original gas cap on. i even reset the ecu, after i drive for a few miles, the sign pops up again. this has happening for about 5 months now.

you probably have some other problem exists before the gas cap. Check what code is the ECM giving you and find out what that code means.
