AN IDEA FOR THIS FORUM..read and let me know what u think

I have spend at lot of time searching both on this site and all over the internet on what struts to go with. On one site it may tell u a certain one is good and others may say its bad. which makes it hard to pick between so many different types of struts. I have an idea that may make it easier for us to research different types of struts fast and easy. At the top of the forum maybe there could be one of those "IMPORTANT" write ups, where someone that knows a thing or two about struts can list different brands of struts, which should be used for certain drops, pros and cons of a certain struts, a rough idea of of price range of a certain strut. I also think it would be a good place for us to tell others what we are using and what we think of them. I dont want to sound like im afraind to seach or lazy. I just think it would benfit the forum in 2 ways: 1- a good way to see what other setups people are using and what they think of it, to help others pick their setup. 2- maybe stop or slow down noobs from asking the same questions over and over again.

i do realize some of u may be thinking "well if we did it with struts, why not springs, tires, rims. But it just seems struts will make or break the quality of your suspension. It may also help people from putting a strut with to large of a drop, and the strut going within 2 months. It could save people some money.

I think you'd have to include the springs too. Because even if you hear about a good set of struts/shocks, it doesn't mean they are the right ones for the springs you get. The springs have to go with the shocks in their balance of the suspension.

EDIT - Also the proper way to get changes like these made are to either contact a moderator or start a thread in the Hot or Not forum (a sub forum of the AF General forum).

That's a good idea, though what works for one won't for another. With suspension it's all personal preferance. I've seen set-ups on a car, and to another driver with the same model car, they have a completely different setup that works best for them. I guess that's sorta confusing, but think of it as this way: I have Tein Coilovers, but maybe a setup of Ground Control sleeves and Koni yellow shocks work best for you, or vice verso. It's like car audio, my tastes and yours are more than likely different, the same goes for springs/struts.

But I've never heard a complaint about Koni Yellows or Reds, or about KYB AGX shocks. Never heard a bad word about Neuspeed, Eibach or H&R springs. A little baseline for you.
