ive been wtaching my boost gauage and messing with my car cuz its been running kinda slow lately, but it seems like it takes awhile to hit 14psi then it starts slowly losing boost, is that normal or do i have a boost leak?

Re: boost leak?
Go to www.vfaq.com and build yourself a boost leak tester. It is a valuable tool to have!!!
That and go through ALL your piping and check to see if everything is tight. Which BOV do you have? 2gen bov's suck ass!!!!

Re: boost leak?
also if you are on your stock t25 turbo its normal for the boost to drop off above 6000 rpm

Re: boost leak?
could be a boost leak. does your car run rough/jerky at all? if you're running the stock T25, remember it doesn't start to spool till around 2900rpms, and anything above 5500 you'll see a drop in boost. like spyderman said, build yourself a leak tester.

Re: boost leak?
Its most likely a boost leak because the boost should be set at 14psi around 3700rpm and pulls all the way to 5500-6000 where it drops back to like 13 but thats normal.

Re: boost leak?
boost leaks are common if you have never checked for one before.
