Talking Hi, Just found this site, looking for info on LX sport

I am currently waiting on a car to be delivered, it is a 2001 Crown Vic LX Sport, all black. My question is what does the sport have in addition to the standard LX package? Does it have a center console, or is that something that is ordered in addition to the package? I havent seen the car yet, but like the looks of it from the picture. I have been searching for a HPP Vic for quite some time now since I got rid of my 92. I made a big mistake getting rid of it and need to make it up, if you know what I mean. Funny thing is, I found 2 of them, a 96 fully loaded, and the 2001. The 96 I was having a hard time getting financing for since it is more than 6 years old, so I decided on the 2001, provided it is in as good a shape as advertised.

im not sure about the 2001 model but i have a 2004 crown vic sport and i love it. from what i understand all sports package crown vics have dual exhaust and a center console with a floor shifter. they have every thing the lx has and air suspension in the back so dont be alarmed if you hear the compressor when you start the car. i love the car i dont think you will regret buying it. the new sport pumps out more hp and torque thanks to the dual exhaust and it also has a different gear ratio (i think). the car is alot of fun to drive.

Well, keeping my fingers crossed that is true. The car is shipping today so I should be getting it tonight. I loved my 92 CV with the performance package, it rocked, and it had the TC and air ride way back then. This one should be just as good if not better! My current ride is an F350 Crew Cab Dually with the powerstroke and Diablo Predator, it is a monster and a joy to drive, tons of eye popping power, I even stroke Bmers with it and their jaw drops when they realize I just blew their doors off with an 8000 pound truck, but the cost of diesel and maintenance is forcing me to park it, so the car is going to replace the truck, that and it is easier to park in downtown Chicago.

ive only been driving for like a year now and ill tell you the crown vic is no fun to park sometimes but its ok after you get used to the dimensions of the car it gets much easier. the only thing i wouldnt do yet myself is parallel park in dc haha. i treat that car like its my baby though its a garage queen. oh yea and the sport package ones have these nice 17inch wheels on them. mine came with goodyear tires. the only mod i think ill be doing right now is these marauder exhaust tips for a better look and later on ill be putting in a new catback exhaust system but that wont be until later this summer.

Try parking an F350 Crew Cab Dually Diesel!!!! This CV will be a breeze to park, it FITS in a parking garage! I have been driving for over 20 years, some of it driving 18 wheelers, so the CV is nothing to park for me.

Re: Hi, Just found this site, looking for info on LX sport

I finally got it, after having it in the shop for a week to fix the steering. They replaced the gear box and all the ball joints and the car drives SWEET! It is getting 21 MPG. Its my new black beauty.
