How to identify model?

Hello;

I inherited a 1988 Town Car which I'd like to sell.

How do I identify its model?

The used car listings refer to three models for that year; Sedan 4D, Sedan 4D Cartier or Designer, and Sedan 4D Signature.

I have the original manual and warranty card, but although there are several sets of numbers on the card, there's no model that I can see.

Thanks,

An

The Sedan 4D is the base model.
For more than 30 years, Lincoln has had optional designer series cars, which is usually just a comfort and appearance package.
Every designer (such as Bill Blass, Cartier etc) or Signature car has that model name stuck to the car, such as on the roof pillar, front fender, glovebox door, etc.
If you cannot find any such nameplate, likely you have a base model car.
