theft deterrant

I may sound stupid here, but oh well. My 01 SE has the theft deterrant system (light on dash), but it is never on. Isn't it supposed to go on when you leave the vehicle? Never had one before. If it is, anyone know how to fix it?

When the car is armed, the light should flash. Does the car lock/unlock when you press the corresponding button? If so, it could just be the bulb.

on my 00 GT, the light on the dash blinks even if the car is not locked. definetly check the bulb.

Ok. How would you get to it? Never had one before. New at this theft stuff.

I have no idea. I wonder if you can pull them out, or twist them out. I'd hope the dash wouldn't need to be removed to change this little bulb. you might want to consider asking this question over here:

people there would also be able to to tell you specifically the model of the bulb, if that was the problem.
