I don't know anything about cars, but its behind the front wheel on the passenger side.

You are going to have to replace the broken mount, If you don't want to buy a new one ( I have no idea how much they cost) you can most likely get one at a salvage yard. I have never replaced one of the lower mounts but I am going to assume that you will probably need a floor jack to lift the motor/tranny (place a piece of wood between the jack and trans housing). Lift the motor/trans and remove the old part of the mount, once removed replace with the new mount, Maybe someone else will know the torque specs for the mount bolts. That should be all there is to it. You may have to take off the fromt wheel to make it easier to get at. Like I said I have not done one myself, I'm goimg by past experiences on other vehicles. If I am in correct someone please correct me. I would much rather the job gets done correctly rather than going with an educated guess.

i live in ontario canada and i replaced the lower mount on my 93 grand am 3.3L V6 it took me about 10 min. you dont need any kind of jack
just remove the bolts and put the new one in on mine there was 2 bolts very easy to do. a brand new mount cost me $22.00 hope this helps. |
