!!! Need Help !!!
I've recently picked up a 96' EX and have since bolted on an Injen SRI and a 2 1/4" Magnaflow cat-back with a Thrush glass pack. I am completely frozen right now on which way I want to go with the car. I can't stand the D17 SOHC that's in it right now, so i'm most likely looking at a motor-swap (unless some one can explain an LS-VTEC to me, CRVTEC etc.) I'm posting to hear everyone's 2 cents on the best way to gain horse power Anything from $300 - $My Soul [email protected] |

Re: !!! Need Help !!!
well thats cool, but the civic u have bosts a d16y8, not d17, those came in the 2001 civics, ls vtec is an Integra Ls block with a vtec head,b16a,b18c, crvtec is the crv motor with a vtec head on it... now it depends on how much u wish 2 spend...and if you will be doing the work, or having it done somewhre...me personally, i like the d16y8, with the right work, u can hang, or even smoke the dohc vtec's, and ivtec...how much money is in your pocket>??

Re: !!! Need Help !!!
Swap or turbo is the only way to get real power. The cheaper route will be to Turbo your d. For more on that you can go here:http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yelevich/turbo/turbo.html
