Shifter Linkage
Ive bought a 1990 Ford Taurus SHO for 100 dollars as a project car, it runs great and is in incredible condition. The previous owner had bought another car and parked this one for last 3 years or so because he thought the transmission was out, however after examining it the only problem is that the transmission has a broken linkage at the base of the shifter. I was wondering if anyone had encountered this problem before and where i could locate parts, the local autoparts stores proved fruitless. Any help would be appriciated, thanks

Re: Shifter Linkage
Your absolute best bet would be to find a junkyard nearby. I don't know SHOs, but I imagine that neighboring years would have at least some interchangeable parts. And then there is always a possibility that you will find an exact match, which, if so, you should totally pillage. Really depends on the size of the yard.
Good find, though. You absolutely stole that car.
