Bad torque converter???

Im basically a automotive idiot...

Would just like a few opinions before talking a transmision specialist..

I have a 91 Buick Regal, 3.8

Just recenlty it started making a Buzzing noice, with a vibration feeling accelerating from a stopped position. Once I get it goin, it goes away and runs fine...

I have checked tranny fluid, it was a little low, I have filled it up, and it continues to happen.

I know this is a older car, but it is a very very good running car, which I have had very little trouble with. It doesnt leak one drop of anything.

Thanks for any info.
