4.6l DOHC 4v cylinder head + 05 Stang?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=5398

I'm wondering if I can make this work on the '05 GT

What all might I need to do?
I'm looking at headers now...

Re: 4.6l DOHC 4v cylinder head + 05 Stang?

Best bet is to either swap a 4V, or find a wrecked no good 4V in the junkyard and pull all the parts off of the front of the motor like the timing covers, etc. Not really worth it for the cost, the stock 3V heads already flow as good as a fully ported 2V race head, and a stock 4V swap is going to flow about as good as a ported 3V on the intake, and a bit beter on the exhaust, but the ported 3V heads will be fair bit cheaper.

I beg to differ on the 2v head, the intake is not that good, I thought it would be a lot higher, I mean if you look at a set of 185 AFRs, their in the 275 range. 223 is good for a modular 2v head with $900 in labor? Plus the intake and exhaust rates are very close, I could not see why you would need to run a split cam in favore of the exhaust.

But agree that the 3V intake is prettyy good, but the exhaust bottle neck the whole engine.
