KA24DE into 180sx?

I was just curious has anyone heard of japanese swapping the KA24DE into their 180sx/silvias? I have heard a little about using our engine in japan? I just thought it would be interesting if they were really doing it and if anyone knows where I could see what the japanese think of the our Ka24DE engine.

why not... (I will never do that!) but u know the KA-T could be faster then the SR and if u have it in japan i bet you would be uniqe...

its probably too expensive for them.. they would have to import the ka from america instead of buying an sr from around the corner.. i'll bet an sr clip would cost a japanese kid the equivalent of $1000USD.. although all they need is the engine itself.. shit is cheap there

Dude, I had that idea like 6 months ago, in 2-3 years I'll im port an S13 and swap in a fully built KA-T, I'm sure I,ll be able to get sponsors, BUT NO ONE STEAL MY IDEA, I CAN IM IN CANADA AHAHAHAAHA!!!!

yashio-factory already did this....wait no they actually had a 240sx so....anyway they were going to use the ka, but then scraped it for the sr. They were considering making ka parts, dunno if they still are. I would guess probably not, but as the ka gets more popular in the states you never know.

The whole front clip of a s13 with decent red-top costs $500 in Japan. I know some people, who know some people who have a GT-R and has uncle owning a junk-yard in japan.
I think ka is a very good motor, strong, higher displacement (comp to ca and sr).
If some famouse drifter uses the ka-t prices for the sr will decrease.

true that.... KA is a good engine.

i think the only difference is the weight... using a 2.0 turbo set up is obviously lighter than a 2.4 turbo. you know how technical japanese get when it comes to weight and car balance... it's not just brute power.

but i'd definitely would like to see some J companies try that out. It'll be something new and parts would probably be custom made... (not like they don't do that already... ) ha.

Ka24de Has Torque Low End But Sometimes
It Gets In My Nerves That I Can Feel That Much Power At Top Rpm, That Sh1t Feels Like Its Going To Blow.those Anyone Feel The Same.

I read in the JdM-tYTe SuPER StreET magazine that the KA24DE has a lot of low-end torque, but sometimes I don't like power and it get's on my nerves that I should have stopped writing 10 minutes ago, but I'm still going on and on about shit that no one gives a fuck about. Does anyone feel the same way?
