question about hooking up a starter button.
can anyone tell me how to completly disable the steerings locking mechanism, and how to completly bypass the key starter? i want to hook up a starter button that doesnt require a key at all, and i would like to have the "acc" setting wired to a seperate hidden switch under the dash.
help? |

Re: question about hooking up a starter button.
Steering wheel lock will involve completly disassembleing the column and removing the pin that locks the wheel. To do the wiring, youl need to wire the push button to the starter, and the other stuff youll need to wire to switches (ie: fuel system, etc)

Re: question about hooking up a starter button.
IMO its not worth it, it makes your car that much easier to steal.... If i were you id just install the push button starter and be done with it. Those should come with directions.
