staright6 to v8 swap

I have a 73 Nova and am swapping out the straight 6 with a small block 350. Does anyone know where to get the engine side motor mounts? The frame side mounts are the same for both motors, all i keep finding is the mounts for the earlier novas or the frame side ones for mine.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Mel

After market replacements should be available from your local autozone or other auto parts store. All motor mounts fail at some time and the auto parts stores can get them.

Re: staright6 to v8 swap

If you are still there, I am doing the same. What did you figure out on the frame/motor mounts? We have motor in but frame mounts are to far out. Several people have said they reversed sides but that didn't look right either. thanks

Re: staright6 to v8 swap

You have to use Nova V-8 frame mounts. There are several for sale on ebay. Heres one 8007893576 , also available at some Nova sites. I perfer the originals for the correct fit. Go to ebay and type in nova frame mounts and you will find about 20 items.
You will also need to replace the throttle arm at the firewall. The fuel line should be routed out through the wheel well and along the frame and back in the well to the fuel pump. This is the factory position on a v8 to keep it from the exhaust. There is also a spacer for moving the radiator closer to the fan. If you have any other questions let me know.

Re: staright6 to v8 swap

Thanks, appreciate the help. We should have all done today except for mounts. I will chech out ebay. Also found a site called www.classicindustries.com that caries lots of parts for older cars, including the frame mounts. Thanks again.

Re: staright6 to v8 swap

Forgot to ask, Do the mounts go in different holes than the 6cyl mounts? Thanks.
