1994 K1500 front pad replacement

Did a pad replacement 2 years ago on this Suburban now I forget how to do get the old pads out? Any help would be appreciated.

Most are just held in place with small clips. Pry the pads out and put the new ones in. Remember you'll need to crack the bleeder screw and press the piston back in.

Thanks but what I was trying to say is how do you get the disk assembly off the rotor?

Remove the two cap screws on the back side that hold the calipers in place. I hope that helps. good luck.

On my 92 I needed a hex socket for the caliper. I dont remember the size off hand.

I did that but the assembly would not slide out , up or sideways all the way seems to hang up on something?

As I recall, it's a real tight fit. It seems like I used a rubber mallet to loosen one side and then the other. then by rocking the assembly and applying more mallet it will come out. I can't remember for sure but I think that there's a bit of a taper towards one end of the spindle and that end of the caliper will just barely slip past it. It will come out
